Palm Jumeirah beach

Palm Jumeirah is the main Palm Island in Dubai, UAE. For most tourists, this is just a location of Aquaventure Waterpark. It is worth to pay twice price for a VIP-ticket to avoid standing in lines (same for Burj Khalifa). As for public beaches, it is worth to mention The Pointe. There are free sunbeds and parasols (not all the time), but the spot is not very cozy. However, most of other island's beaches are rather mediocre, - even if compare with neighboring Dubai Marina. It is possible to get to water park by Palm Monorail. Or you may use Uber for all other spots, since outer "palm" circle can be reached by car via underwater tunnel. Shore and seabed: sand, stones. Atlantis The Palm is an iconic five-star resort with rooms' fares starting from US$1000 per night. For the money, you'll get a cozy "Caribbean" vibe, great service, best beach in the whole Middle East, as well as free visits to Aquaventure water park.

There are also many other hotels and apartments on the island starting from US$300 per night. However, if Atlantis is too expensive for you, it will be better to stay in Dubai Marina, - since it's cheaper, more funny and with better beach.

Fly to Dubai international airport (DXB) or fly to Dubai Al Maktoum international airport (DWC). Next get to your hotel by taxi.

When to go [edit]

The best time for a beach holiday in UAE is spring and autumn (including December). It is too hot in summer, while sea water is too cold in winter (in January & February).
