Pangaimotu is a small tourist island near
Nukuʻalofa - the capital of Tonga in
Tongatapu island. It is a mainly day-trip destination. Pangaimotu has good beaches, as well as ship wreck, good to dive into the water. It's the only place in Nuku'alofa, which is not closed on Sundays. Shore and seabed: sand.

Hotels [edit]
Pangaimotu Island Resort is the only hotel on the island. Room rates start from US$50 per night. According to unconfirmed information, the hotel is not functioning now.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Tonga International Airport (TBU). Next get to
Nukuʻalofa by taxi or by bus. Boats to Pangaymotu run every hour. The journey takes 15 minutes per way.
When to go [edit]
The best time for a beach holiday in Nuku'alofa is a dry cool season from May to October.
