Papalaua Beach Park

Papalaua (Thousand Peaks) is a beach in the south-west of Maui island, Hawaii. In fact, this is just a small grove near the busy coastal highway. But it's so good, when trees come close to the water! Hotels [edit]

In the east end of the beach it is possibile to spend a night in your own tent, except Wednesday and Thursday, - it is required to obtain permit in advance. As for the real hotels, these are located 3 miles to the east - in the village of Maalaea.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Honolulu international airport (HNL), next fly to Maui island airport - Kahului (OGG). There are also direct flights to Maui airport from USA and Canada. Next hire a taxi.

Papalausa beach has no dediacted parking, because the beach itself is a kind of parking. This is one of the few places in Maui island, where you may leave the car near the water edge - in the shade of trees.
