Pattaya Beach is the main beach in
Koh Lipe island of Thailand. With all its disadvantages, it is still the best one. But this is definetely not a tropical paradise. The main problem is a huge number of boats during the high season, which are everywhere - even in the swimming areas. And after all of this, the coastal vegetation is not very beautiful. It makes sense to walk around the whole of the beach to find the best place for you. Shore and seabed: sand.

Hotels [edit]
The typical cost of the hotel in Koh Lipe is US$100-150 per night for a room, that may be unpleasant shock after ordinary Thai fares. This is because the island is small and extremely popular. In any case, value for money for such a holiday is very bad.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Bangkok international airport (BKK). Next fly to
Trang airport (TST). Next take a taxi to the village of Pak Bara (Pakbara). Next get to Koh Lipe by ferry or by public speedboat.
Alternatively, it is possible to get to Koh Lipe via the popular neighbouring island of
Langkawi. In this case you should first fly to
Langkawi airport (LGK), and next take a ferry to Ko Lipe. The distance to Lipe is even shorter than from Pakbara, but many people don't want to spend their time in Malaysia.
When to go [edit]
The best time to relax on the beaches of Koh Lipe is a dry season in the winter half of the year. Unfortunately, the island is overcrowded that time, so you won't feel the beauty of the place as it was many years ago.
