Playa Balandra is a huge shallow lagoon with calm and warm water in Mexico. There are several beaches within one bay, so you can always find a place being secluded enough. The only amenities are kayaks rental, as well as snorkeling near the rocks. There are no cafes, nor shops with any king of food, so you should take everything with you. During the weekend, there are no free tiki huts, but you may bring your own parasol. Shore and seabed: sand.

Hotels [edit]
There are no hotels directly near Balandra beach. The nearest hotels are located slightly to the south - in the town of
La Paz. There are a lot of accomodation options with rooms' fares starting from as low as US$15 per night. And for about US$40 you may expect to get quite a decent room.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Los Cabos international airport (SJD). Next get by bus to
La Paz town.
There are bus and shuttle minibus (so-called
collectivos) services running from La Paz to the beach of Balandra. Spacious fee parking is located just near the lagoon, so rented car can be a great option to get here.
When to go [edit]
The best time to relax on Playa Balandra is a warm season from June to October. It is recommended to avoid winter period, as this is a rather cold time - even in sunny Mexico.
