Playa Caribe beach
Ultimate guide (January 2025)
Playa Caribe is a beach in the western suburbs of Barranquilla, Colombia. It is also known as
Puerto Salgar. There are many breakwaters. However, waves are strong enough most of time. But at least there is no seaweed. East end of the beach is more wild and beautiful - with shaded trees. As for the west, it is a typical city beach built with ugly tiki huts. It looks ridiculous. But for unclear reasons, locals still like it. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.
