Playa El Rodadero beach
Ultimate guide (November 2024)
Playa El Rodadero is a popular beach resort town in the southern suburbs of Santa Marta, Colombia. This is a beautiful place with scenic palms and comfortable swimming. There are also many cheap restaurants. Of course, the place becomes overcrowded with locals during weekends. But anyway, this is a very nice spot. The main problem are beach sellers with their tents placed along the whole coastline. It would be great, if the local authorities moved them somewhere closer to the road. Shore and seabed: sand.

Hotels [edit]
El Rodadero has a great choice of hotels with rooms' rates starting from US$40 per night. Since the beach is still pretty good here, this place is definitely better than Santa Marta.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Cartagena international airport (CTG). Then get by bus or by taxi to one of the towns located around the Tayrona park, - in most cases these are Santa Marta or Taganga.
