Playa La Pared beach
Ultimate guide (November 2024)
Playa La Pared is a wild beach on the northwest coast of
Margarita island, Venezuela. There is also a fishing village nearby, but it's not very interesting. The place is rather scenic, but too secluded. So if you don't want to worry about your safety, it will be better to visit this spot only during the weekends. As for now, there is no beach service. Though it was a cafe many years ago. Shore and seabed: sand.

Hotels [edit]
Makatao Posada is a "local" guesthouse near the beach. Rooms are basic, but outer grounds are very pleasant. The hotel is not presented in the internet. So it's almost impossible to book a room in advance.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Margarita International Airport (PMV). You may also fly to
Caracas International Airport (CCS), and then get to the island by ferry. Most ferries depart from
Puerto La Cruz or from
Cumaná. There's also ship from
La Guaira (Caracas).
When to go [edit]
Feel free to relax in Margarita island any time of year. It is always warm on the island, and there is no pronounced rainy season. In addition there are no hurricanes on the island.
