Playa Langosta beach

Playa Langosta is a private beach in the eastern suburbs of Colon town, Panama. Entry fee is US$5 for car, plus US$1 per person for using the shower. For an additional fee, you may also rent a cabana or visit a restaurant. It takes less than 2 hours to drive here from the capital Panama City. Thus the place is very popular - especially during the weekends. Locals play loud music, so it is hard to relax. Regular cleanups are made on the beach. But there is still a lot of trash along the sides. Anyway, this is a good tropical beach with palms - at least by the Panama standards. Shore and seabed: sand. [edit]

Oasis de Tranquilidad is a house featuring pool (from US$300 per night). This is a pretty good option. However, it is still not quite clear, how safe it is to stay in Panama in unguarded grounds.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to the major Panama international airport (PTY, Tocumen) or fly to secondary Panama international airport (BLB, Balboa). Next take a taxi or get by bus.

When to go [edit]

It is always rainy season on the Caribbean coast of Panama. However, relatively dry seasons are January, March and October.
