Playa Tamarindo Grande beach

Tamarindo Grande is a beach on the north-west coast of Culebra island, Puerto Rico. It's beautiful ashore - with many trees (but no palms though). The main problem is that seabed is rocky. So the swimming is not very comfortable. But on the other hand, the snorkeling is good enough. Shore and seabed: pebbles, sand. [edit]

How to get there [edit]

Fly to San Juan airport (SJU). Next get to Fajardo ferry dock by taxi or by bus. Boats to Culebra island run several times per day.

When to go [edit]

Feel free to visit Culebra island any time of year. There is a small chance of hurricanes in the summer, but sea water is warmer. Winter is considered to be a high season, and there are a lot of people that time.
