Poja beach
Ultimate guide (December 2024)
Poja is a wild beach in the east of
Sumbawa island, Indonesia. Please note that there are several other beaches around with the same name. So you should use the exact coordinates given below. The place is totally secluded, beautiful and with comfortable swimming. The sand is white, sea water is azure being perfectly clear, and there are almost never strong waves due to the location in a sheltered bay. There are also many trees ashore, as well as few interesting spots to walk around. So this is a great "secret" beach, since its transport accessibility is very poor. The best way to get here is just to walk from the road - approximately from a place called
Maiwali Villa. Shore and seabed: sand.

Hotels [edit]
There are no hotels right near Poja beach. So this is probably a good idea to spend a few days here with your own tent. The nearest hotel is located a few kilometers to the south.
Kalimaya Dive Resort is a great hotel being located in front of Komodo island. It is not presented in booking services. However, their
website is good enough to make a reservation. You can also try to rent a room in the village located 1 km west of the beach.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
