Port Launay beach
Ultimate guide (November 2024)
Port Launay is one of the best beaches in
Mahe island. Formally, this is the coast of Constance Ephelia Resort, but access to the beach is free for all - like everywhere in the Seychelles. While the southern bay is rather mediocre, the northern bay is just what you need. There are many trees and palms, perfect white sand, a smooth entry into the water, no waves and good snorkeling on the stones aside. In addition, it never becomes overcrowded, and there is no problem of low tides (no shallow water any time of the day). Shore and seabed: sand.

Hotels [edit]
Constance Ephelia is a five star property with rooms' fares starting from US$600 per night. Value for money is great, but restaurants and SPA are very overpriced. So the final bill at checkout may be a bad surprise for you.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Seychelles international airport (SEZ). Then get by bus (the final stop) or by the rental car. Parking lot is small, but you can leave your car just along the road without any problems.
When to go [edit]
Feel free to visit Seychelles any time of year, as good weather here is a lottery in any case. It may be sunny during the daytime in the rainy season, while all rains will fall at night. Or you can come in the dry season, but still it will be slightly rainy and the sky will be covered with gray clouds.
