Port Said beach

Port Said is a good beach in the north of Egypt. City beach is not worth a visit. But in the west, there is a great condominium, sometimes known as Porto Said. Most of visitors are locals, since it's only two hours drive away from Cairo. The place is relatively cheap, while conditions are almost upscale. There are no crowds of tourists, since buildings are not very high. Scenic promenade has many palms, while the swimming in the sea is rather comfortable. However, most Egyptians prefer to sit in the pools, so these are often overcrowded. Shore and seabed: sand, pebbles. [edit]

Porto Said Resort & Spa is an excellent beachfront hotel with rooms' rates starting from US$50 per night. Many private owners also offer their apartments for rent. For example, booking has a lot of options. So you'll have a wide choice. The complex is located about 20 km from Port Said town. So it is better to have a car. However, regular bus route is also available.

The best time for a beach holiday on the Mediterranean coast of Egypt is a warm period from June to October.
