Galheta beach

Galheta is a wild beach on Santa Catarina island in Brazil. The bay is surrounded by mountains, protecting the beach from the wind. However, the waves are still strong. There are no bars, nor any buildings ashore. Galheta is considered to be a nudist beach, but most of tourists seem not to know about it. LGBT community is often can be met here, as well as on all the beaches of Florianopolis. Shore and seabed: sand. [edit]

There are no hotels near Galheta beach. The nearest hotels are located just to the south - on the beach of Praia Mole.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Florianopolis international airport (FLN). Then get to the beach of Praia Mole by bus or by taxi, and walk to the north along the coast for about 5 minutes.

When to go [edit]

The best time for a beach holiday in Praia da Galheta is a warm season from December to March.
