Praia dos Moinhos beach

Moinhos is a beach near Porto Formoso in the north of Sao Miguel island, Azores. This was the best secret beach of the island, but it became a little more crowdy - after the renovation. However, it is still a great place to sunbathe, to swim and to eat at the delicious bar. There is a shower and a toilet, - everything is in a good condition. Shore and seabed: sand. [edit]

Near the beach of Moinhos, there are just a few hotels with the cost of the room starting from US$200 per night. There are also some cheaper accommodation options in the neighbouring town of Porto Formoso.

Fly to Sao Miguel international airport (PDL). Next hire a taxi or get by bus.

The best time for a holiday on the beach of Praia dos Moinhos is a warm period from July to September.
