Praia Inhame beach

Praia Inhame is a beach in the south of Sao Tome island. It is also known as Yam Beach. This is a perfect tropical paradise with trees and palms. In addition, it is just a short boat trip from here to the islet with famous Equator monument. The beach is not overcrowded, because the hotel charges entrance fee from non-guests. The swimming may be good sometimes. But there are often strong waves. Shore and seabed: sand. [edit]

Hotels [edit]

Praia Inhame Eco Lodge is a guesthouse with rooms' rates starting from US$80 per night. They are promoted as an eco-lodge. As usual, it means extremely basic conditions in addition with expensive prices. However, even if compare with other island's eco-lodges, it is relatively poor and overpriced.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Sao Tome international airport (TMS). Next hire a taxi. There is also public transport on the island, but the bus routes are not convenient for tourists in most cases.

When to go [edit]

The best time for a beach holiday in Sao Tome and Principe is a dry season from June to September. Unfortunately, sea water is relatively cold during this period.
