Praia Jale beach

Praia Jale is a long beach in the southwest of San Tome island. The beach is almost completely wild. However, cafe and hotel are still available. It is worth to book a cafe by phone. Or they just may not to come. Since there is often no a living soul on the beach. The place is beautiful. Unfortunately, there are always strong waves and dangerous underwater currents in the ocean. So it is better to swim in the rocky area located in the center of the beach. Sandy entrance into the water can be found between these rocks. Shore and seabed: sand, stones. [edit]

Hotels [edit]

Domus Praia Jalé is a beachfront eco lodge with rooms' rates starting from as low as US$60 per night (half of bungalow). You'll also have to pay for mandatory meal plan (not very tasty). Houses are outdated, without air conditioning, without hot water and without Wi-Fi. While the service is rather mediocre. However, this is still a great option to stay on a paradise beach for quite a reasonable price tag.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Sao Tome international airport (TMS). Next hire a taxi. There is also public transport on the island, but the bus routes are not convenient for tourists in most cases.

When to go [edit]

The best time for a beach holiday in Sao Tome and Principe is a dry season from June to September. Unfortunately, sea water is relatively cold during this period.
