Primeira Praia is the "First beach" of
Morro de Sao Paulo in Brazil. It is the smallest one of the four main beaches on the island. The whole coastline is built up with historical buildings. So this is not a place with much of nature. However, occasional palms are very picturesque. Natural rocky pools are the main local attraction. But small section with sandy bottom is available as well (where boats usually make their stop). There are many cafes and shops, while the prices are slightly cheaper compared to the Second beach. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

Hotels [edit]
First Beach has probably the best choice of hotels on the island. Room's fares range from US$30 to US$150 per night. Definitely you will find something suitable, - nor matter what budget you have.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Salvador da Bahia international airport (SSA). Then you have three options to get to Morro de Sao Paulo:
- plane (20 min per way, US$90 for the return);
- boat/ferry (2 hours per way over the choppy ocean, US$25 for the return);
- public transportation by the mainland (4 hours per way, US$10 for the return, - ferry from
Terminal Maritimo São Joaquim to
Itaparica, next take a bus to
Valença and then get by ferry to
Morro de São Paulo).
