Princess Beach
Ultimate guide (December 2024)
Princess Beach is the southernmost beach of Eilat - right next to the Egyptian Taba. This place is for snorkeling only, as the beach itself is very bad. There is a lot of garbage along the coastline, though cleanups are made sometimes. Entry into the water is uncomfortable due to the rocky bottom covered with algae. So the best is to snorkel between the piers. It will be comfortable and amazing. Please, bring food and drinks with you, as the only shop has poor choice of goods, while prices are expensive. Shore and seabed: pebbles.

Hotels [edit]
Major resort (
The Princess Hotel) was closed in 2017. So the only accommodation option is a strange car camping along the road (from US$250 per night in the house on wheels).
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Ovda international airport (VDA). Next get by bus # 15 to the stop of
Mitsrayim Road / The Princess Hotel. The ticket cost is 4.4 shekels.
When to go [edit]
The best time for a beach holiday in Eilat is a warm period from June to October, because sea water is rather cold during the winter time.
