Punta Marina beach

Punta Marina is a beach being the nearest one to Ravenna town in Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. Sea water looks like a pool. Since breakwaters completely protect from the open sea, - so no waves at all. The water is shallow. But it is possible to walk to the depth. The area is rather beautiful and not overcrowded. There is a pine forest at some distance from the sea. But it is a long way to walk there. So there's not chance to sit under the shade of trees. There is a limited choice of hotels near the beachfront of Punta Marina. But still you can easily find a suitable option with rooms' fares ranging from US$80 to US$300 per night. As for Ravenna, it is located far from the sea. So a rental car is mandatory. A taxi is possible as well. But it's not reliable, when you need to return from the beach to Ravenna.

Fly to Rimini airport (RMI). Next get by the local train to Ravenna station.
