Punta Yeguas beach
Ultimate guide (November 2024)
Punta Yeguas is a beach in the west of Montevideo, Uruguay. It is called
Playa Chica in the west, and
Playa Santa Catalina in the east. So these are three separate beaches located nearby. There are scenic sand dunes ashore and many trees. Sea water is shallow, but still quite comfortable. This is a great spot for a family holiday with smaller children. The only amenities available are concrete barbecues and lifeguard tower. But most of coastline is almost a wild beach - very cozy and clean enough. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.
