Quarta Praia is the best and longest beach of
Morro de Sao Paulo in Brazil. In comparison with the First and Second beaches, there are no people at all. While the landscapes are scenic - with palms, white sand and good entry into the water at the high tide. As for the low tide, you may walk to the natural pools in the rocks, where you can swim or have a great snorkeling. Occasional restaurants are very cozy, with good music and not expensive. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

The choice of hotels on the Fourth Beach is extremely limited, while many coastal areas don't have any kind of developement. However, there are accommodation options for almost any budget (room from US$30 to US$200 per night).
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Salvador da Bahia international airport (SSA). Then you have three options to get to Morro de Sao Paulo:
- plane (20 min per way, US$90 for the return);
- boat/ferry (2 hours per way over the choppy ocean, US$25 for the return);
- public transportation by the mainland (4 hours per way, US$10 for the return, - ferry from
Terminal Maritimo São Joaquim to
Itaparica, next take a bus to
Valença and then get by ferry to
Morro de São Paulo).
