Relais Tikehau beach
Ultimate guide (December 2024)
Relais Tikehau is a private motu (island) in the very south of
Tikehau atoll, French Polynesia. It is located near the airport. This is a classic tropical paradise - with picturesque palms. It is also possible to walk to the neighboring uninhabited motus. Unfortunately, entry into the water is mostly rocky. The hotel sometimes make "traditional" shows playing Polynesian guitar. It's not very interesting, but still pretty nice. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

Hotels [edit]
Relais Royale Tikehau is a good guesthouse (aka "pension"), but slightly overpriced. It is usually supposed, that lack of good service can be compensated by the famous Polynesian hospitality. Unfortunately, hospitality is not so great, as one might expect for the money. However, some tourists feel quite happy here.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Tahiti international airport (PPT), next fly to
Tikehau airport (TIH). There are also direct flights from atoll Rangiroa, as well as from some other islands.
