Rovigliano beach
Ultimate guide (December 2024)
Rovigliano is a
beach of Pompeii to the south of Naples in Italy. This is the place where the citizens of ancient town run trying to escape from volcano. The ruins of Pompeii are within a walking distance, - only 2 km in a straight line, though the way along the road will be longer. The coast is a black sand with breakwaters making small bays. Unfortunately, this is an industrial area, so the landscape is depressing. But on the other hand, there is a superb view to
Vesuvius volcano. There is a lot of garbage ashore, but occasional cleanups help with it. A spacious parking is available for free. In general, this is far from a tropical paradise, but quite Ok to have a break after visiting neighboring tourist attractions. Shore and seabed: sand.
