Saint-Pierre is a cozy town in the northwest of
Martinique. There is an old cathedral, as well as a good promenade with palms. Unfortunately, the swimming is not very pleasant, as dark sand looks rather depressive. So this is not, what one might expect from the Caribbean coast of Martinique. There are a lot of great beaches - with the churches, white sand and other nice features. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.
