Saline Bay beach
Ultimate guide (November 2024)
Saline Bay is a beach in the southwest of
Mayreau island, Grenadines. For most tourists, this is just a place where boats from Union Island make their stop. Then everybody moves to the better beaches, and probably this is a good idea. However, this place is not so bad. There are trees and palms, it is possible to swim, and there is a good snorkeling at the sides. So you may spend here a couple of hours while waiting for the departure of your boat. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

Hotels [edit]
There are several hotels in the village located to the north of the beach. But unfortunately these are poorly presented in the online booking systems. If you failed to find anything, just try to search for
Saya Villas or
Dennis Hideaway Guesthouse.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Saint Vincent international airport (SVD) or fly to
Barbados international airport (BGI). Next fly to
Union island airport (UNI).
There is good boat connection (water taxis) between Union Island and Mayreau island, providing different level of service. So ticket prices range from cheap to expensive depending on what boat you prefer.
When to go [edit]
The best time for a holiday on Saline Bay beach is a dry season from December to May.
