Salou is a beach resort area in Costa Daurada region, Spain. It is located near the famous amusement park of
PortAventura.
Ponent beach (Platja Ponent) is the most famous one in town. It has an outstanding palms grove, visible even on satellite photo shots. This is a good place for children. But recent years, the sea has become deeper due to the coastal erosion. There are always a lot of people, but in general, the place is not very overcrowded. Shore and seabed: sand.
