San Clemente del Tuyu beach
Ultimate guide (November 2024)
San Clemente del Tuyu is a beach being closest one to the south of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Surprise, but this is a very good resort town. Of course, the water is muddy, and this is not a true tropical paradise. But there are a lot of sand dunes (up to 10 m high), and there is no problem of beach erosion, - unlike most of coast located to the south. The city beach is often overcrowded. But if you walk a little to the south, you can always find relatively secluded spot. You may also visit a long fishing pier, as well as the
Marine World oceanarium. Shore and seabed: sand.

Hotels [edit]
San Clemente del Tuyu may offer a great choice of hotels with rooms' fares ranging from US$40 to US$100 per night, - or even cheaper in the low season. So it is definitely worth to spend here at least a couple of nights.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Buenos Aires international airport (EZE). Next get by bus about 200 km to the south. So the road is hard. But, unfortunately, there are no beaches near the Buenos Aires.
When to go [edit]
The best time for a beach holiday in Argentina is a peak of the warm period in January-February. As for the rest of time, sea water is cold enough. You should remember that, this is not the tropics.
