Hotels [edit]
Near the beach of San Elijo, there is a VIP-camping with site cost starting from US$40 per night. It is expensive because of great view to the ocean. But in fact, the campsite itself is rather mediocre.
Since this is a National Park, it is necessary to register for the campsite in advance using their website. You can't just come and buy a camp site!
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Los Angeles international airport (LAX). Next get by the local train to
Encinitas station.
When to go [edit]
In California, the best time for a beach holiday is August. However, the water is still very cold even at this time. The reason are cold currents making the ocean cold near the entire Pacific coast of North and South Americas.
