Segunda Praia beach

Segunda Praia is the most popular beach of Morro de Sao Paulo. Palm grove on the coastal rocks is a key feature of the island. However, there are also some more palms located a little further away from the coastline. So the place is beautiful being famous in the whole Brazil. Of course, it has some downsides. The first, ridiculous loud music in the bars. The second, when the tide is low, the sand is available only near the water edge, while most of the bottom is stony. How to get there [edit]

Fly to Salvador da Bahia international airport (SSA). Then you have three options to get to Morro de Sao Paulo:

- plane (20 min per way, US$90 for the return);

- boat/ferry (2 hours per way over the choppy ocean, US$25 for the return);

- public transportation by the mainland (4 hours per way, US$10 for the return, - ferry from Terminal Maritimo São Joaquim to Itaparica, next take a bus to Valença and then get by ferry to Morro de São Paulo).
