Selong Belanak beach

Selong Belanak is the best beach of Lombok island in Indonesia. This is mainly an excellent spot for the beginner surfers. However, you can swim here as well. But in reality it will be more like a jumping on the waves. There are many bars in the south end of the bay, and it's no so overcrowded like popular Bali. Shore and seabed: sand. [edit]

In the southern Selong Belanak, there are several accomodation options with rooms' rates ranging from US$20 to US$150 per night. Fortunately, there are no large beachfront resorts yet.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Lombok international airport (LOP) and next hire a taxi. There are few regional low cost airlines having direct routes to Lombok. So there's no need to fly via Bali anymore.

If you plan to get to the beach by bike, be ready to pay some unexpected parking fee. It is not legal, but it's like that everywhere in the south of Lombok.
