Serapo beach
Ultimate guide (December 2024)
Serapo is the main beach of Gaeta - to the north of Naples in Italy. It is beautiful, but overcrowded in the high season. Most areas are private beach clubs, while free stretches of the coast are fully packed with bodies. So it is best to visit in September, - when the season of holidays in Europe is over. Entry into the water is smooth, the water is clear and the sand is almost white. Unfortunately, there are almost always strong waves, so this is not the best place for children. Shore and seabed: sand.

Hotels [edit]
Rooms' fares in Gaeta hotels start from US$100, but it is hard to get such a price in August. So expect to pay US$150-200 per night or more.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to Rome airports of
Fiumicino (FCO) or
Ciampino (CIA). Get by train to the station of
Formia-Gaeta, and next hire a taxi for 20 euros (15 minutes) or take a bus with a connection in Formia (3 minutes + 20 minutes).
When to go [edit]
The best time for a beach holiday in Gaeta is a warm season in the summer half of the year.
