Shabazhen beach

Shabazhen is a popular beach located to the east of major Maoming city, China. It is possible to swim right in the downtown. However, it is better to drive a little further to the east. You'll find quite a decent resort area. Moreover, if you walk along the coastline, it is possible to find almost wild areas without crowd of tourists and without massive development. There are not many palms here. But, unlike many China beaches, there is no problem of strong low tides, while sea water is clear. Shore and seabed: sand, stones. [edit]

There is a large choice of hotels in Shabazhen. However, these are not presented in international booking systems. But it's quite typical for China.

Fly to Zhanjiang airport (ZHA). Next take a taxi.

When to go [edit]

The best time for a beach holiday in the south-west of China is April and October-November. The main problem is that the summer is a rainy season (from May to September), while it is too cold in winter (from December to March).
