Sharjah is a seaside resort town on the Persian Gulf - just to the north of Dubai. Unlike neighboring regions, there is no alcohol here. But it is a great place with a lot of museums and with a good beach. It makes sense to stay in a good beachront hotel, as the free stretches of the coast are boring, while commercial beaches are very expensive. Sea water is often dirty, but it is Ok for the city beach. Shore and seabed: sand.

Hotels [edit]
Rooms' fares in the hotels of Sharjah range from US$30 to US$700 per night. But in general, Sharjah is cheaper than Dubai, - both for hotels, as well as for food/tours.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Dubai international airport (DXB) or fly to
Sharjah international airport (SHJ). Next take a taxi to your hotel.
By the way, Sharjah airport is the main hub for a large low cost airline of
Air Arabia. So it is often possible to fly here even cheaper than to Dubai.
When to go [edit]
The best time for a beach holiday in Sharjah is a summer half of the year, when sea water is warm enough. However, this is also a very hot period. So you should choose, what you prefer.
