Smith Cove is a secluded beach in the south-west of
Grand Cayman island. There are no hotels, no restaurants, and usually just a few people, - except for the moments when cruise ships are docked in the port. It is believed that Smith Cove has the best snorkeling on the island. However, you may also have a great time sitting in the shade of trees, swimming and jumping into the water from the cliffs. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

Hotels [edit]
A short distance from
Smith's Barcadere beach, there are several hotels with rooms' rates starting from US$300 per night. There were also plans to build a condo building right next to the beach, but, fortunately, the gonernment refused these attempts.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Grand Cayman international airport (GCM). Next hire a taxi or take a bus.
Passengers of cruise ships can catch a taxi right in the terminal. However, if you walk a little out of the cruise terminal, the taxi will be much cheaper.
When to go [edit]
The best time for a holiday on the beach of Smith Cove is a dry period from November to May.
