Maronti beach
Ultimate guide (December 2024)
Maronti is a great beach in the south of
Ischia island, Italy. The coast is long with a view to cozy town of Sant Angelo (boat tours are available, 15 minutes per way). The place is relatively undeveloped, though there are a lot of bars and sunbeds rental. As for downsides, it is worth to mention a coarse sand, which is not comfortable to walk barefoot. The depth starts right from the coastline, so this is not the best place for children. Free areas have no showers, nor toilets, nor changing cabins. Shore and seabed: sand.

Hotels [edit]
Barano di Ischia is a budget place by the standards of Ischia. The hotels start from US$40, but it is hard to get such a fare. You should better expect to pay about US$100-200 per night.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Naples international airport (NAP). Take a train to
Pozzuoli station and get by ferry to
Ischia Porto. Next get to Maronti by taxi or by bus. By the way, buses are not frequent, and in most cases you'll have to make a change of route.
When to go [edit]
The best time for a beach holiday in Spiaggia dei Maronti is a warm period from July to September.
