Spiaggia di Frontone beach

Frontone (Spiaggia di Frontone) is the main beach of Ponza island in Italy, as Chiana di Luna is closed now. The place is beautiful - with clear water and high mountains around. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people in the high season. And the building spoils the coastal view. There is a rental of sun loungers, as well as a toilet, shower and a cafe. Entry into the water is smooth, so it is good for children. In the north end of the bay, there is an artificial pool cut in the rocks. Shore and seabed: pebble. [edit]

Hotels [edit]

There are no hotels near Frontone beach. The nearest accommodation options are located slightly to the south - near the port of Ponza. Many hotels can also be found in the north of the island, but it is not convenient to get from there.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Rome airports of Fiumicino (FCO) or Ciampino (CIA). Take a train to Anzio, Terracina, Formia or to Naples, and next get to Ponza island by ferry or by hydrofoils / aliscafo.

It is possible to get to the beach of Frontone, if you walk on down the road. But the descent is very steep and dangerous, so it is better to take an excursion boat from the port of Ponza (5 euros).
