Sri Hama is the most famous beach of
Kakeroma island in Japan. To be honest, the island has dozens of similar beaches, but this one may offer a hotel, as well as a relatively good transport accessibility. In general, everything is quite typical with a beautiful view of the hills, clear water and white sand mixed with pebbles. There is always someone here, but it never becomes overcrowded. Shore and seabed: pebbles, sand.

Hotels [edit]
The only beach hotel is called
Diving and Pension Riki. It changes its name very often. So when you arrive to the island, it can turn into something like
Sri Hama Beach Resort.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Amami airport (ASJ). Next get by taxi to one of the southern ports, and take a ferry (20 min) to Kakeromajima island:
- big car ferry departures from Namama Port;
- small public speedboats are operating from Koniya Port.
When to go [edit]
The best time for a holiday on Sri Hama beach (Kakeroma jima) is a dry season from December to February. Unfortunately, the sea water is rather cold that time.
