Sunrise Beach is an eastern beach of
Koh Lipe island, Thailand. The coast initially had no many palms, and up to now it has been heavily built with hotels. So white sand and azure water are the only good things about this place. Shore and seabed: sand.
[edit]
Hotels [edit]
There are a lot of hotels on the beach, but all good rooms cost from US$100 per night, - that is very expensive by the standards of Thailand. But if you move a little off the coast, the prices will be lower, while the beach is in a short walking distance anyway.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Bangkok international airport (BKK). Next fly to
Trang airport (TST). Next take a taxi to the village of Pak Bara (Pakbara). Next get to Koh Lipe by ferry of by public speedboat.
But for many tourists it will be more convenient to reach Koh Lipe via the popular Malaysian
Langkawi island located nearby. In this case, you should first fly to
Langkawi International Airport (LGK), and next take a ferry to Ko Lipe.
When to go [edit]
You may have a good holiday in Sunrise Beach of Koh Lipe island all year round. Winter half of the year is a dry season, so it will be a great sunny weather.
On the other hand the summer is a rainy season, but there are no many tourists as well. Another good thing about the summer half of the year is that the wind blows from the west, so there are no waves on the eastern beaches.
