Sunset beach

Sunset beach is a resort beach in the north-west of Raiatea island, French Polynesia. The place is beautiful, but swimming from the shore is not possible due to the rocky bottom. Instead, you can dive from the pier, where the depth is deep enough. There is also good snorkeling here. In general, this is a good place to spend a night before or after the flight, since the airport is only 2 km away. Shore and seabed: sand, stones. [edit]

Hotels [edit]

Sunset Beach Motel is a hotel with rooms' fares starting from US$140 per night. This is not cheap, but the rooms are very nice. They also provide free airport transfers there and back.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to the airport of Bora Bora (BOB), next fly to Raiatea airport (RFP). There are also direct flights from Tahiti island, as well as from some other islands.

The best time for a beach holiday in Raiatea island is a dry season from March to October.
