Swakopmund is a popular beach resort town in the middle of Atlantic coast, Namibia. It features the old German buildings, thus attracting many tourists from Germany. There are always strong waves - except for a single spot near the breakwater. In addition the water is always cold. So Swakopmund is not the perfect place for a beach holiday. However, still there's nothing better in Namibia to relax after a hard safari. Shore and seabed: sand.
