Taaras is a hotel beach in the north of
Redang Island, Malaysia. The beach is beautiful with palms and comfortable swimming. It's now crowded, because the resort is very expensive. A little to the east, there is also local Dalam beach. It's not so great, but still very good. It is often promoted as Turtle Beach, when you take boat tours. But in reality the real Turtle Beach is located to the north (called Chagar Hutang). Shore and seabed: sand.

Hotels [edit]
The Taaras Beach & Spa Resort is a 4-star property with rooms' fares starting from US$300 per night (former
Berjaya Redang Resort). The hotel is good enough, but totally overpriced. You'd better visit Maldives for the money they ask.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Kuala Lumpur international airport (KUL). Next get by domestic flight to
Kota Terengganu airport (TGG). Then get by taxi to the pier of
Kampung Penarik town, and get by speedboat to Redang island.
Attention! You should always ask your hotel about transfer options, as well as to book boat in advance for exact time and exact pier.
When to go [edit]
The best time for a holiday in Redang island is a dry season from March to August.
