Taj Coral Reef island

Taj Coral Reef is an island resort in the west of North Male atoll, Maldives. The island is very small even by the Maldivian standards. However, there are many trees, while snorkeling on the house reef is great. Unfortunately, there is an unpleasant smell from septic tank - both inside the island and near the pier. Since the island has very small size, this is a real problem. Probably, the hotel will be able to solve it someday. Shore and seabed: sand, stones. [edit]

Hotels [edit]

Taj Coral Reef Resort & Spa is a 5-star all-inclusive hotel with rooms' rates starting from US$500 per night. Transfer Male-resort-Male is free. The hotel is good enough, and it is worth to stay here for a short time (due to free transfer from the airport). But if you stay for a long time, valur for money is not the best. Main problems are: 1. Limited food in the all-inclusive package (no buffet), 2. Outdated rooms, 3. Too many "rules" with restrictions.

Fly to Maldives international airport (MLE). Next get by the resort's speedboat.

When to go [edit]

You can relax any time of year in the Maldives. But the best is a winter half of the year.
