Tampah beach

Tampah is a wild beach on the island of Lombok in Indonesia. There are no people, no buildings, no bars, no rent of sun loungers. The latter is not very good, as there are just a few trees with some shadow. However, the waves are not strong, which is good for swimmers. The sand is more like a broken pebble, so it is hard to walk barefoot. Shore and seabed: sand, stones. [edit]

In the village by the beach, there is a cheap local guesthouse, and a little further away the luxurious Mawun Raya Resort can also be found.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Lombok international airport (LOP). Next take a taxi or hire a bike. The locals charge unexpectedly high parking fee for your bike - even by the standards of Lombok.

The best time for a beach holiday in Tampah is a dry period from April to October.
