Now you know the most important things to plan a right journey for minimum money. Though the book mainly focused on how to save money, it doesn't mean that it is only for those with limited travel budget :) Even if you have a huge budget, this book will help you to make your trip more interesting, comfortable and safe.
Of course there are much more details in real life than was covered in my articles. I suggest you to google, read forums and ask experienced travelers. But don't get carried away too much with it. There are many other interesting things in your life!
...And about the package tours. I didn't covered this issue, because I'm sure that independent travel is much more interesting and cheaper. And it's quite possible even if you don't know language of the country you travel to. However, sometimes there are cases when a package tour is more preferable. However, it happens very rarely. But there are many interesting places in the World, where no package tours are possible.
