Tofua is a volcanic island in
Ha'apai archipelago of Tonga. The island has no beaches at all, but it has a large inner lake in the crater of a former volcano. The island is uninhabited, so it is recommended to visit it only in a guided tour. Shore and seabed: rocks.

There are no any buildings in the island. Rare enthusiasts usually spend a night in tents or on yachts.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Tonga International Airport (TBU). Next fly to
Haʻapai-Lifuka Airport (HPA) or take a ferry to Lifuka island.
Tofua island can be reached only by boat only, which should be arranged in the tourist office of Lifuka. The tour to Tofua usually takes two days minimum.

The best time to visit the island of Tofua is a dry season from May to October.
