Torre dell'Orso beach

Torre dell'Orso is a beautiful beach on the Adriatic coast of Apulia in Italy. In the south, there are high cliffs with amazing views. The central area features sand dunes overgrown with shrubs. While the north end is again rocky with an old almost destroyed tower. It could be the perfect resort town, if not the crowds of tourists. And you don't even have a place to walk away. In Torre dell'Orso, the cost of a room ranges from US$100 to US$400 per night. Moreover, the average price tag of August is even higher than in the Caribbean during the peak season! It's not quite clear, who are all that people being ready to pay a lot of money for a mediocre Mediterranean beach?

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Brindisi airport (BDS) or fly to Bari airport (BRI). Next get by the local train to Galugnano station or to Sternatia station, and get by taxi about 20 km.
