Torre Guaceto beach
Ultimate guide (December 2024)
Torre Guaceto is a long beach located to the west of Brindisi, Italy. The coast is very interesting and diverse. In the west, there is an old tower, as well as a white sand beach. There are both sunbeds rental, as well as a free area. But if you move to the east, there is a Sailing Center followed by an unusual beach with bizarre brown cliff formations. It is worth to walk along the water's edge - about half an hour per way. You can get scenic views, and try to find the best spot on the coastline to spend a day. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Brindisi airport (BDS) or fly to
Bari airport (BRI). Next get by taxi about 15 km to the west from Brindisi airport.
East side of the beach has easy parking, while the road is located nor far from the sea. As for the west side (with the tower), there is no car access, since this is the National Park. Instead, they provide some kind of a "train" running every 30 minutes between the parking lot and the beach - for 5 euros per person. This is a nice option, but sometimes you have to stand under the heavy sun while waiting for departure.
