Tropea beach
Ultimate guide (December 2024)
Tropea is a superb beach town in Calabria, Italy. Canonical view of peninsula with a castle can be seen from the coast, while high cliffs host the picturesque old buildings. So the Old Town is fine, but the beach is even better, - perhaps the best one in Europe. The sand is white and soft, while the water is perfectly clear, - just like in the Maldives. There is a rental of sunbeds, as well as free areas. The place becomes overcrowded in August, so it is better to choose July or September. Shore and seabed: sand.
