You can settle right on the shore of excellent Caribbean beach in a cozy bungalow. However, the prices for such accommodation options are rather high.

Budget travelers advised to choose an inexpensive guesthouse in Tulum town (located not far from the ocean), and to get to sea by an inexpensive shuttle minibus taxi.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Cancun airport (CUN). Then take a bus to Playa del Carmen (we recommend 1st class). Next catch a minibus (colectivos/combis vans) to the Tulum town.

From November to April. The weather is also good in the summer half of the year, but it's more rainy.
